Use this volume & sheathing mascara to enhance your eyelashes with intense colour. Unlike many other mascaras, this one contains no synthetic preservatives which is gentler on your eyes and lowers the risk of irritation.

Mascara is an everyday makeup essential that can make a big difference. To get the best from it, make sure your eyelashes are dry and free of cream or oil first. Dust them with a little powder to help your mascara last longer. Remove your mascara wand from the container in one movement and apply it to your upper lashes in a horizontal zigzag motion while looking down. Gently tap your lower lashes with your mascara wand, as this helps to make sure you don't apply too much.

There are a couple of ways you can apply your mascara. For larger eyes, apply more to the outer ends of your eyes. To open up your eyes, apply more to the centre.

The volume & sheathing mascara is refillable which helps to reduce waste and helps you economise on beauty packaging if you already have the bamboo case. The refills aren't plastic free as this is difficult while complying with beauty regulations. They're small though and can be inserted inside your old case. For hygiene reasons, refills contain a wand. If you'd like a place to send your old wands, wildlife centres often reuse them to clean the animals they're caring for.

This Zao mascara is 40% organic and is cruelty free and vegan. It contains a palm oil derivative that is certified as sustainable by the RSPO.
