Citric acid is a weak, natural acid found in citrus fruits. You can use it in recipes when cooking, and also as a cleaning product to remove rust and limescale.

Here are a few ways to use it:

Descaling

Dilute 1-2 tablespoons in 1 Litre of cold water (our 1L glass spray bottles work well for this). Apply the solution to clean taps, coffee machines, kettles, mugs and showerheads. Wipe and rinse with water when done.

Remove limescale from your washing machine

Put 6-8 tablespoons of acid in the drum of your machine and run a wash cycle at 90°C.

Toilet cleaner

Pour half the bag into your toilet before bed. Leave it overnight.

Cleaning

Use citric acid like you'd use vinegar throughout your home.
