A gentle touch
Our refillable cleansing cream makes light work of removing excess oil, makeup and impurities from your skin. This non-foaming formulation is gentle on your skin's natural barrier and can also be used as a moisturiser.
We've named our cleanser after The Book of Tea by Okakura Kakuzō. Made with organic green tea hydrolat, this product is a nod to Japanese Teaism which celebrates everyday imperfection.
In the leaves
Sometimes cleansers end up stripping our skin, leaving it oilier or irritated in the long run. Our cleanser feels like a lighter form of a balm, leaving your skin fresh with a hint of hydration.
Organic castor and jojoba oils work to sweep away oil-based grime and balance your skin's natural oils, whether naturally dry or oily. Then let your skin sit back with soothing and softening shea and mango butters, organic rose and green tea waters and just a touch of lavender and geranium essential oils.
Star Ingredients
Green tea
We use organic green tea hydrolat. A source of polyphenols, green tea offers skin protection from oxidative damage and UV radiation, while being anti-inflammatory.
Damask rose
With a fresh and delicate scent, organic rose hydrolat has been used for hundreds of years for clear complexions and is upcycled from essential oil distillation.
Lavender
Organic lavender essential oil is soothing in scent and naturally anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. It's a wonderful match for skin that's prone to blemishes.

Use & Refill
Massage a small amount of cleansing cream gently into your skin and optionally leave it on for a few minutes. Wash or wipe it away with a reusable cotton round or cloth.
The Way of Tea cleansing cream is safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding and for those with a gluten intolerance.
This product is refillable and we sterilise and reuse our packaging, meaning your jar won't always be brand new.
